School HumorA
third year teacher had to unexpectedly leave her class for a few minutes to
attend to an emergency call from the office. Upon returning to the classroom,
she was baffled to find the whole class in perfect order with all the children
in their seats sitting quietly. Stunned, the teacher asks loudly,” It’s a
miracle!” she exclaimed.”I’ve never seen anything
like this in my entire teaching career.” She faces her students asking,”
Whatever came into you children that was powerful
enough to keep you quiet and organized when I was gone?” Nobody dared to
answer. Until finally a child raised his hand and
said,” Well, we remembered the time when you said that you would drop dead if
you ever got to your classroom with us in perfect order.” As
a teacher at a local school, I’m no stranger to strange happenings that my kids
go through. One day, one of my third graders came in sobbing. His mother told
me he was upset he didn’t get to finish his math homework. I sympathetically
asked the mother how come and she said,” Unfortunately, our computer doesn’t
have Roman numerals!” A
primary school class was asked to tell stories that had moral lessons which
they were currently studying. One student, Cathy said “Once, me and mom were on
our way from the market with a basket of hen eggs when we hit a bump in the
road. All the eggs broke.” The moral, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” The
next student, Tammy was next. “We once had a dozen chicken eggs buts when they
hatched we got only ten chicks.”The moral? “Never count your chicks before the eggs have
hatched.” The
last kid was Johnny. “My Aunt
Annie was in Desert Storm when her plane was shot over enemy
territory and they had to bail out from the damaged plane. She had with her a
bottle of whiskey and her machine gun. She fell in the middle of a hundred
Iraqi enemy soldiers of whom 70 she killed with her machine gun and the rest
with her bare hands.” Everybody was quite scared by now and the teacher, hoping
to finish the gruesome details of the story asked him,” And the moral is?” Johnny
proudly replies, “ Never mess with Aunt Annie when
she’s been drinking.”
